On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, IPAG, in partnership with International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada has launched their second AV of the project on COVID Digital KICK for South Asia.
The AV, titled as “COVID-19 & Mental Health; A Silent Crisis during Quarantine”, has been translated into 14 different languages to be circulated amongst the 1.8 billion people of South Asia.
As seen from World Health Organisation (WHO) data, more than 130 countries around the world are experiencing the devastating impact of COVID-19 on mental health today. The issue is exacerbated in South Asia, where 40% of the population are suffering from mental health disorders. The AV, among others, outlines 10 ways for the people of South Asia to take care of their Mental Health during this pandemic. It also includes key resources and contacts from all 8 South Asian countries for people who would want to seek professional help.
