850Syed Munir Khasru, Chairman, IPAG has been nominated to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Expert Network which is designed to promote interdisciplinary and innovative thinking about the future, challenge conventional wisdom and develop new ideas and projects on Key System Initiatives, as well as on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Earlier. Mr. Khasru was also invited at the World Economic Forum on ASEAN where he spoke on a session titled ‘Anticipating risk in the ASEAN’. During the session, Mr. Khasru spoke on issues that included geopolitical risks in the ASEAN region, risks due to technological disruption and a young demographic as well as risk from decline in freedom of speech and media.

The World Economic Forum on ASEAN engaged leaders and experts on the 10 system initiatives most relevant to the region such as, Consumption, Digital Economy and Society, Economic Growth and Social Inclusion, Education, Gender and Work, and many more. The goal of the Forum on ASEAN was to examine how the region can maximize the payoffs from a growing working age population and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, while ensuring that the path ahead is both sustainable and socially inclusive. The Forum on ASEAN is one of the most recognized regional forums.
