As the US G20 Presidency 2026 moves forward, think tanks continue to play an important role in bringing practical policy ideas into the global conversation.

On May 21, Prof. Syed Munir Khasru, Chairman of IPAG, met with Dr. Richard J. Ponzio, Director of the Global Governance, Justice & Security Program and Senior Fellow at the Stimson Center, along with Ms. Chandrima Das, Senior Adviser, Think Tank 20 U.S., and Ms. Rebecca Snyder, Research Associate, Stimson Center.

The discussion focused on how the US Presidency can advance practical policy cooperation on energy security, innovation, digital transformation, trade, and global economic resilience. The meeting also explored how the Stimson Center and IPAG can work together to support evidence-based research, policy dialogue, and wider international perspectives within the G20 and T20 policy process.
